We had a fun and FULL weekend. Saturday we spent around the house cleaning, working on outside projects, playing with each other, we went to the Huskies baseball game for a little....

We have basil, chives, cilantro, mint, carrots, beans, peas, tomatoes, and peppers. Mmmmmm, can't wait.

Some of us were pretty tuckered out by night time. ;)

Sunday we went to church and then the older three boys and I went to the Twins game. Matt and Lucas stayed home. Matt fixed our faucet and the plumbing under the sink while we were gone.

They were pretty pumped.

The boys love Valencia, or who they call Boom Boom. They have nicknames they made up for all the players.

Connor is so glad this guy is back.

We had a wonderful time and the boys were so great. They Twins lost 6-5, but sure gave a good go at it in the last inning.

Monday we started the day with the parade. We met up with mom, Kristin and the girls, and my cousin Mitch.

We ended the weekend with a graduation party for a family friend, so we didn't even have to make supper. ;)

Thank you to all those that have served and are serving our country.

Preschool graduation

We had Jacob's graduation awhile ago (I'm very behind on posts). He looked very happy and smiley as he walked into the room. He was holding his good friend Ruthie's hand (Ms. Jane was thinking when she paired them together!).

However, once he was up on the risers, he started getting really nervous and teary eyed. He would look over at us, rub his eyes, fidget a little......He sang every song and stayed up there though. By the end he was smiling and enjoying himself. He stuck with it. Way to go buddy!

His friend's Grandma and Papa that so generously helped with taking Jacob to daycare after preschool every day. We are so appreciative of their help and the way they treated Jacob like he was one of their grand kids. THANK YOU!!!!

After the graduation the boys and I went to have ice cream at the Blast and go for a little walk. It was a great way to end the day.

Guests and soccer

If you remember me posting something about our little visitor on our deck...well lately two of them have enjoyed visiting our deck and patio.

I happened to notice a large amount of this on our deck floor.....

So I looked up and saw one of the birds building a nest. This is a picture of the end result, but it has been so fun for us to watch the whole process start from scratch. This is right outside of one of our living room windows and we can just sit and watch it all happen. It is amazing what these little things can do. They have quite a system....they will both fly away and before we know it they are back. One stops on the railing with a stick/leaf/grass/mud in its mouth while the other is up adding its piece to the nest. Then they switch spots. It's like one is keeping watch for the other.

It will be fun to watch the eggs hatch......

We have had lots of soccer games lately with all of the make ups due to the wonderful MN weather we have had. It has been fun. Here the younger two are planning their game plan on the empty field while we watched Connor play.

It was fun to see how much Connor has grown in his confidence, knowledge of the game, and skills.

101_1504_1638

He played his good friend from daycare, and Mary our daycare provider came to watch them. What a lady!

It was amazing watching Jacob's transformation throughout the season. If you remember my long post about his anxiety issues and not wanting to go out on the field.....you would never have guessed any of that happened if you came to watch his last couple of games. He was a maniac out there. In fact, he scored two goals in one game.

So proud of you Jacob.

Thank you to family that was able to come to cheer the boys on. They are so fortunate to be so supported.
