Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Well, we made it to Christmas Day and still no baby.  Today was baby’s due date, but I really think he or she knows that it’s crazy right now and wants to come on his or her own day and time.  I’d like to think he or she wants us to spend Christmas together and celebrate each other and all that we have instead of me being in the hospital during this time.  It would be pretty special for him or her to be born on Jesus’ birthday – can’t think of a more special gift, but I am honestly ok with it being after.  Great timing baby and thanks for being so considerate, however….now you can come out any time now! I look at how I look in this pictures and oh boy – not so cute.

It’s been kind of nice laying low and staying home together.  Yesterday, Christmas Eve, we opened presents throughout the afternoon.  The boys all gave us our gifts and were so proud of them.

This big man is not going to be the baby of the family much longer.  He’s getting so big.

Christmas day morning the boys opened their presents from Santa.

A lot of their presents this year were for them all to share.  We’ll see how that goes.  Later on all the boys and Matt went outside to play in the snow and then my parents came over for a little while.  The boys were excited to show them what they all got and we played a few of the new games.

Christmas with my Family

Today we celebrated Christmas with my family.  After church we headed over to mom and dad’s.  We decided to try pictures right away because everyone looked nice and kids were all still happy.

The kids opened a present and got to change into it to be comfy for the day.

The rest of the day consisted of lounging, football, opening gifts, and a delicious meal as always with our toasts to the year.

The day ended with the kiddos snuggled up watching a movie and the oldies playing cards.  My uncle Steve came over to join us for a little while.

Before we left Connor played a few Christmas carols on the organ for us to sing a long with.  Thanks for another wonderful Christmas mom and dad.
