First Holy Communion

Connor received First Holy Communion today.  It was an awesome day and an amazing thing to be a part of.

Two of his biggest fans even dressed up to celebrate with him.

I got a little teary eyed watching him.  He was so excited. 

 

 

 

The kids sang a song called “We Come to  You”  that was just beautiful and of course made me cry again.

I LOVE you and am so proud of who you are.  The best part was hearing you whisper to me after communion that “this feeling was even better than how you felt after Reconciliation”

Kindergarten Round up

Tonight Nolan had Kindergarten Round up.  He was so ready to go.  We walked down the stairs to where everyone was and he just joined right in, leaving me without saying good bye.  Wow.  What a difference from last year with Jacob.  I’m not comparing the two at all, just saying it was so different.  I didn’t know what to do with myself.  Nolan is so independent in so many ways.  It’s a little bit scary.   I actually enjoy the times he is innocent and vulnerable because it reminds me that he is only 5.

 

He is ready for Kindergarten……..;)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday to the best daddy in the world!

Matt and Connor went to the Twins game for Matt’s birthday with Connor’s friend Noah and his dad Matt.  They had a great time.  The other boys decided to dress up in Twins gear to help celebrate the game.  Check out Nolan’s face in these pictures – it gives a good picture of the “spunkiness” I talk about often. 

Since we knew Matt and Connor were going to be gone tonight, we went out to celebrate last night.  Matt chose Famous Daves.

Connor was able to sneak away and tell the waiter it was Matt’s birthday.  They came and sang to him.  I don’t think Matt got very many bites of his birthday dessert.  As you can see, the boys enjoyed it.  ;)

Here again - can you find Nolan?  This post is supposed to be about Matt, but as I was looking through the pictures I couldn’t help but laugh at  Nolan in them.  See what I’m talking about. ;)  Gotta love him.

2012 Night of Knights Auction

 

We had our Night of Knights auction last night and had an amazingly successful evening.  Wow, is this community generous.  I am awed and humbled every year.  This year we raised over $156,000, all of which goes back to the school.  It has been a lot of work being on this committee, but also a lot of fun.  We have met some great new families through doing it.  Next year will be our last year on the committee.  Thank  you to the community who came out and supported our school.

Birthday party

Nolan was super excited to have his first friend birthday party.  We waited until the older two were 5 as well. 

Nolan chose Star Wars theme. However, the only piñata we could find was Spiderman. ;)  We had a piñata, played Star Wars Bingo, Pin the light saber on Darth Vader, Hidden Asteroids, and variety of things outside.

 

He had a great party, with great friends.
