As I’ve mentioned years past, our town has a Hometown Holiday weekend to get the city and people in the Christmas spirit. Thursday night started everything off with the light parade and lighting of the trees in Central park. My family has met up at a local restaurant downtown the past couple of years to decorate cookies, eat supper, and watch the parade. It was a great time again.

Fourth of July
We celebrated the 4th by heading to the Blooming Prairie parade like we have been doing for awhile now. We have quite the crew when we are all there. The rest of my family (except for Matt) were back and able to celebrate with us.
After the parade everyuone came to our house and filled our bellies and relaxed. The boys went swimming and Uncle Mattey and Uncle Natey were good sports and jumped in with them.
Then we went to watch the fireworks. They were great as usual. Another super day...though we sure were missing daddy.

Busy Weekend
What another fun weekend!
Friday evening we had two more graduations. What a fun time of year this is, going to graduations, celebrating, eating good food, and getting to visit with friends and family that you don't always see.
Saturday Matt worked, Jacob, Nolan, and Connor went to a neighborhood birthday party, and Lucas and I joined the rest of my family for the Wenger marching band parade. This was the second year and it's always fun.
Then mom, Diane, and I went to my cousin's baby shower. When we got home Matt, the boys, and I went to yet another graduation.
After the graduation Matt had to go back to work and the boys and I went out to my Uncle Ed's and Aunt Sharon's house for a family get together to visit our relatives from California that were here. There were yard games, good conversations, some baseball (of course), and a bonfire.
What a great Father's day we had today also. I will post about that next.

Memorial Day Weekend
We had a fun and FULL weekend. Saturday we spent around the house cleaning, working on outside projects, playing with each other, we went to the Huskies baseball game for a little....
the boys helped me finish the garden.....
Jacob wanted to take some pictures of our garden...
We have basil, chives, cilantro, mint, carrots, beans, peas, tomatoes, and peppers. Mmmmmm, can't wait.
Some of us were pretty tuckered out by night time. ;)
Sunday we went to church and then the older three boys and I went to the Twins game. Matt and Lucas stayed home. Matt fixed our faucet and the plumbing under the sink while we were gone.
They were pretty pumped.
Connor made a Circle Me Bert sign!
The boys love Valencia, or who they call Boom Boom. They have nicknames they made up for all the players.
Connor is so glad this guy is back.
We had a wonderful time and the boys were so great. They Twins lost 6-5, but sure gave a good go at it in the last inning.
Monday we started the day with the parade. We met up with mom, Kristin and the girls, and my cousin Mitch.
Then we went to play at the park and grill out at mom and dad's.
We ended the weekend with a graduation party for a family friend, so we didn't even have to make supper. ;)
Thank you to all those that have served and are serving our country.
