My family went to the Dells again this summer and as you can see in some of the pictures, we had a blast!

My mom came across this place as she was looking for options. We went into the weekend not knowing what to expect except for what we saw in pictures. It was amazing and perfect. We could all stay in one place, yet not be on top of each other. It was only a few miles away from the Wilderness where we were going to “play” and it was on the lake. In the picture on the right, we had the whole middle level.

It had a big kitchen, dining, and living main area.
A huge master bedroom with master bath and then 2 more rooms with a queen bed each, and the couch in the sitting area turned into a bed.
It had a 2nd bathroom, laundry room, that huge deck, and tons of closet/counter space.
Here was the view from our deck.

The kids loved having so much space and so many bedrooms to hang out in.

We arrived Friday afternoon and headed over to Wilderness. Those of you that have been there know how much there is to do. Wow. We went to a few of the different water parks Friday until we were all tuckered out and went back to our place to eat, clean up, and hang out. The kids were pretty tuckered out. The adults stayed up and had some fun, but we won’t go into details. What happens in the Dells, stays in the Dells. J/k. We were very mild and good, some of our college good ol’ days did came out though. ;)
Saturday morning we got up (both mornings mom spoiled us with breakfast) and got ready to head back for some more water park fun. It ended up being really nice out which was perfect because we were able to enjoy a couple of the outdoor ones. We made it to all of the water areas and were sure to try out every major slide. We took a break to go have lunch back at our place and then headed back to the water park.

This thing was crazy. You stood in this little compartment on a clear landing (this was the scariest part for me – being able to see down) and they shut the door on you. There is a countdown for you …3…2…1… and the clear landing slides open and you fly down the blue slide, up and around the loop. It was a blast.

The boys enjoyed everything and everyone was so great about going down slides and swimming with them! Thank you guys.
We are going to have so much fun as they get older because both Matt and I enjoy rides, thrills…. (well, neither of us can really spin). Even Lucas went on a few of the big rides. Saturday evening for dinner we grilled out and had a fabulous and filling meal. The kiddos fell asleep watching TV and a movie and the adults were up for round two. We played some cards and had some good laughs. Oh my goodness did we laugh and get entertained by some.
Sunday morning mom made everyone an omelet of choice and Matt made french toast. We ate and drank very well while we were on vacation. That is how it’s supposed to be right? The great thing was that we didn’t go out to eat once.

While some people were still cleaning and packing up, Mattey took Kelsey down to the beach area. She had been wanting to build a sand castle all summer. Jacob wanted to go join them (he has a very soft spot for Kelsey).
It was pretty crummy and cold out, so we decided to stay inside. We headed back to Wilderness one more time before we left, however this time it was for the arcade. We all love the arcade.

We stopped on the drive home to have a quick lunch and fill our bellies, then on the road to home we went.

What a great time and another fun family vacation.
