Crack! and Color Dash 2012

Last night the older three boys were playing outside while Lucas and I were inside making dinner.  I was in the bathroom helping Lucas when I heard this noise like something was hitting the window.  I hurried into the kitchen to find….I’ll let you make a quick guess here of which one of the boys was involved with this….yep…Nolan was throwing (well, actually gently tossing) rocks at the window to get my attention.  Through the window I yelled at him to stop throwing rocks and to come inside to talk to me so I can hear him.  I turned around to go back and help Lucas in the bathroom and I heard a CRACK.  A rock was thrown (not gently tossed this time) at the window and cracked it.  He obviously didn’t like what I had told him.   I had one scared boy.  He got to hang out in his bedroom for most of the evening and he will be giving us some of his money to pay for it.  (which he told me he didn’t care about because he doesn’t get to spend or use his money for anything anyways.  Lord help me. )  Ugh…….walnut with a heart in it, walnut in a heart in it, walnut with a heart in it….(I was whispering this to myself many times throughout the night).  If you have no idea what this is about and want to find out –go here.  It will make you smile.

This morning Diane, Kristin, and Kristin’s friend Maggie, and I did the Color Dash here in town.  I’ve always been interested in the Color runs that I’ve seen or heard about and was excited when I found out they were doing this in town this year.  All proceeds from this Dash are going towards the production of a Feature Film shot in Southern Minnesota that will show the after-affects of suicide. Once the Film is complete the producers want to give it to every single High School and Jr High across the Country for free.  It was a fun time.  The weather was beautiful.  We all started out squeaky white clean.

They had color stations with people throwing colored powder at you and many times people would also roll on the ground to get the color.

At the end  we all threw up our bags of powder.  It was a fun experience, and always fun to do things like this with the ladies.
