We got to spend a lot of time with Grandma on her birthday. She was a trooper and watched both Jacob and Connor’s football, even though it was cold out. Then Grandpa and Grandma came over to our house and Grandpa helped shampoo our carpets and Grandma got to play with the boys. Then we went out to eat at the Red Lobster.
Mom and dad took the boys home so that Matt and I (and Connor bought his iPod touch) could look at TVs. We made a new purchase and got a new TV, sound, and entertainment center.
Story about the ride over there. Nolan started asking questions about heaven. Where is it? What does it look like? How do you get there? Do you get back alive? Does it hurt when you die? Tons a great questions. It was a neat conversation and Jacob and Connor chimed in with a few answers as well. I think Connor at one point told Nolan that you get to heaven by believing in God and Nolan responded with “Like David did when he fought against Goliath?!” Gotta love the minds of kids.
