Easter Weekend

Friday evening my mom and dad came over for dinner and to color eggs.

They are always coming up with some game or activity.  Love the creativity until someone gets hurt.

 

 

Saturday morning we headed over to Nana’s house.  We had a fun day.  We made a few stops – we stopped at Laskers Jewelers to dropped of my ring.  It needed to be cleaned, polished, and readjusted.  While we were there Barb helped me pick out a necklace because Matt had a $50 gift certificate.  We laughed because there wasn’t much that was in our price range, but finally found a beautiful necklace that was under $100 on sale.  It was made out of Swarovski Crystals which is where I visited in Germany.  Thanks for spending the gift cert of me hon!  Barb and I had fun shopping. 

Then we went to the mall to walk around a little and the boys got to visit the Easter bunny.  Nolan was FULL of questions about this.  He knew it wasn’t the real Easter bunny, but he wanted lots of answers.  The picture is kind of blurry because I wasn’t supposed to take pictures with  my own camera and had to do it quickly.

 

For dinner we went to the Red Lobster and had a delicious meal.  Sunday morning we got dressed, said good bye to Barb, and headed to church to meet John and Lynn. 

 

 

After church we headed to John and Lynn’s house and the boys had an egg hunt, colored eggs, played a ping pong ball game that John and Lynn made for them, Connor played online chess with Papa John, and Jacob and Nolan got to open their birthday presents.  It was a fun packed day.  We headed home later Sunday evening after watching the basketball game.

Easter

Happy Easter!  He has risen!

We celebrated with my dad’s side this year out at Litomysl Church.  We have had many family gatherings at this church, but none lately.  The place accommodates our large family nicely.  We had quite a few people missing, yet there were still 40 of us there.  We had an egg hunt outside and then the kids played on the playground for quite some time.  They probably could have stayed out there, if it hadn’t been so cold.

   

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Coloring Eggs

   Yesterday, Grandpa and Grandma, and Matt and K and the girls came over for brunch and some egg coloring.

When we were all done coloring, my dad helped clean our carpets (boy were they disgusting!) and Lucas had to help out.  At first he got out his own vacuum that he always uses, but then decided it was more fun helping Grandpa with the big one.
