MEA- Grandparent’s celebration, Firetruck, and Photoshoot

This week we celebrated Grandparents and special friends at school.  Mom and dad were able to make it.  The kids give a little concert and then the grandparents can go to their classrooms.

Mary had the fire truck come to her house again and called us to come over.  Connor had piano lessons, but I brought the other 3 boys over.

It was so nice out and I have meaning to get some fall pictures with the boys, so I asked them to put on a nice shirt and we headed to the park for a photo shoot.  The boys are at the fun age where they decided where we would take the pictures and how they would pose.  In some of the pictures you can see Lucas really giggling and Connor looks like he’s talking. To make everyone smile Connor would recite the Farmer Spelling Bee commercial.  It gets the boys every time.

Pumpkin Patch

I love fall.  We met up with Mattey and all his girls at the pumpkin patch earlier today.  Matt is out of town for work and Connor was at a friend’s house, so they weren’t with us.  It was a nice fall afternoon.  We did all the fun and typical pumpkin patch things – pet the animals, corn maze, hayride, blow up games, mini golf, Jacob’s ladder, corn box, bike paths…you name it.

Sister Bernadette

My great aunt, Sr. Bernadette, passed away on the 3rd.  They had a memorial service for her at Assisi Heights, the home of the Sisters of St. Francis, this week and I was able to take a half day and attend it.  Sr. Bernadette did some pretty amazing things and I would say definitely fulfilled her mission from God. All the places she had lived, the jobs and leadership roles she took on, and her talents made her a pretty amazing lady.  She donated her body for research, so they did not have a reviewal.  Her health had been failing for quite some time and she actually held on and fought longer than they thought she would.  She definitely had the Ebeling and Svatos blood in her. Those are some tough and stubborn women, in the best definition possible. I like to think I have some of that in me.

They had a really neat display window that they made in her honor.

Cousins

We got some good cousin time in this weekend.

Yesterday was Homecoming and we went to the parade.  It’s already starting, Connor went across the street to hang out with his friends! Get use to it mama!  It was a little chilly out, but enjoyable.  They always do a great job with the parade and it’s a fun way to get pumped for the football game.  It’s crazy to believe I was on the first parade committee in high school. I truly am starting to feel old with many of the events and things happening in our lives.

Earlier today we got to get some snuggle time in with these precious little ones.  I love the picture of Jacob holding Carson, it looks like Carson is smiling. I am getting so excited for baby to come after watching and seeing the boys and their excitement and love for their new baby cousins.  They are going to be amazing big brothers.
