One day full of Football and Soccer

Connor had such a great football season.  This sounds bad, but he really surprised us. He had quite a few touchdowns and the thing that was most surprising was how his skinny little body would tackle and take down.  He was way more aggressive than I would have thought.  It was really fun.

Jacob and Nolan were in the Football Skills camp Saturday mornings.   Nolan wasn’t too sure about it (as he is with anything new, especially in front of other people), but then had a blast.

Shh….don’t tell anyone, but they totally cheated when told what number to go to for their groups and purposely went to the same group.  I loved it because it was easy to watch them both.

Connor had another soccer game today

Something I learned and that I love with soccer is that after the game both teams run around the field and give high fives to their fans.  Very cool idea.

Happy 10th Birthday Connorman!

DSC_1046_1978DSC_1045_1977

Happy Birthday to our firstborn.  Connor words cannot express how much we love you and how proud we are of you.  You never cease to amaze us and we are loving this journey you are taking us on.  You are always willing to take on a challenge and try things.  You are an amazing big brother and have paved a great path for your young brothers.  You are our bookworm, sports loving, sensitive and kindhearted, too smart for your own good young man.  Thank you for wanting to still read with me and letting me tuck you in at night, and even once in awhile still hold my hand.  I love you beyond words and many times catch myself just watching you and am in disbelief that you are our son, turning into a young man.  I know we are sometimes hard on you and expect a lot of you being the oldest.  We need to remember that you are still a kid, though pretty amazing and so mature – still a kid and should be able to act like one.  I love you to the moon and back bud.

We kind of have started a tradition where we open a couple small presents in the morning if it’s a school day then the rest at night.

He chose to eat supper at Applebee’s and enjoyed the singing.

Happy Anniversary yesterday to amazing parents.  Wow- 39 years!  Thank you for showing me what it means to in a marriage.  I truly can’t thank you enough for being the role models that you are to all of us.  Happy Grandparent’s day today also!  Not only are you amazing parents, you are amazing grandchildren.  Our kids are so lucky that you do all that you do with them. We are blessed.

The Beginnings of Fall

Connor had football and soccer this weekend.  He is loving football and has gotten so much more aggressive.  It’s fun to watch him get excited and love playing.

This is his first year of traveling soccer and it’s been fun.  Fortunately, we’ve lucked out and football and soccer haven’t interfered with each other to much.

We got to snuggle with these little babes also.  The boys want to hold them as soon as we see them.

First Day of School

It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year again. We are all excited for the year.  The boys have terrific teachers and I can’t wait to see what is to come for them.

Bike ride and Bellies

We went for a bike ride today.  Everyone is finally getting more comfortable riding, well except for this pregnant mama.  The bike ride wasn’t so comfortable for me.

We had to stop over at Nate and Diane’s quick and snapped a quick picture of the bellies.  DeDe is due soon and I have a few months yet.
